Kendra Wilkinson On Being Hugh Hefner’s Girlfriend: ‘Didn’t Know That Sex Was Involved’

Hugh Hefner’s name is practically synonymous with the word sex, but according to his former girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson, she had no idea that sex was in the cards when she agreed to be his girlfriend.

Kendra Winkinson, now Wilkinson-Baskett, had made the move as an 18-year-old into the Playboy mansion a whole 11 years ago. Wilkinson shared her naiveté with her cast mates on the show I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! Kendra shared with TV host Melanie Sykes the unusual predicament she found herself in.

“Hef asked me to be one of his girlfriends and live in the mansion. I’m like, I don’t even know what that means, but hell yeah! I’m there! I was living in this small-ass apartment with this ugly-ass b***h — I was praying for anything to get me out of there.”

Once she got into the mansion, all she was interested in was partying, and it looks like there was plenty of that to go around. As stated, one thing Kendra wasn’t anticipating was having sexual relations with Hugh Hefner.

” I moved in and weeks went by and I didn’t know that sex was involved. I knew nothing about Playboy. I’d just graduated high school. He was like, ‘Do you want to come upstairs? And I was ‘Sure, let’s have fun.'”

That said, Wilkinson insists that Hugh Hefner deeply cares for all of the girls. As for his relationships with the Playboy girls she said he “really looks at them as relationships, as real relationships.”

Back in 2009 Kendra opened up about Playboy life. “Besides the nights we went out, I only saw Hef, like, once a day walking through the halls to his office. There were never solo dates. “The most we kind of say to each other is, ‘I love you,’ ‘Love you too,’ ‘I hope you have a good day,’ ‘Did you have a good day?'”

These days Kendra Wilkinson has been married for five years to NFL wide receiver Hank Baskett, and shares two children with the football player. Although there were rumors that they were heading towards a divorce, they are still together. Currently Wilkinson-Baskett is on the fourteenth season of UK’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
