Jordin Sparks Disses Jason Derulo In New Song, Gets Help From Drake

Jordin Sparks recently released a song that clearly targets her former fiancé, Jason Derulo.

The song, “How Bout Now (Remix)” is actually a song that was originally recorded and performed by Young Money rapper Drake.

However, Jordin Sparks used that song as the foundation of a diss track aimed directly at Derulo for her #ByeFelicia mixtape.

TMZ released a 50-second clip of the song on its website Tuesday and it is apparently clear that the 24-year-old singer is refusing to bite her tongue and keep quiet about what happened between them any longer.

Although she does not identify Jason Derulo by name, Jordin Sparks leaves clear clues in the lyrics of her song that basically spell out the name of the Wiggle singer for her.

“‘Member I deleted all my other guys numbers on my phone for you.
‘Member when you broke your neck and I had to wash your back for you.
You probably don’t remember half the s**t that i did for you.”

Jason Derulo broke his neck after practicing an acrobatic trick for his world tour back in 2012 that went horribly wrong.

Derulo landed directly on his head, fracturing a vertebrae and almost causing the singer to become paralyzed.

However, Jordin Sparks was there for him and played a major role in helping him to recover.

In an interview with E! Online, Jason Derulo opened up about how Jordin helped him and how his neck injury actually brought them closer together at the time.

“It got me closer to Jordin, which is also really amazing. It really did bring a lot of positive to my life. It gave me a chance to look at my life and decipher what was positive and what was kind of taking up space… Jordin was very instrumental in my recovery.”

Perhaps that newly discovered closeness did not last as long as Jordin Sparks may have liked, especially after the two singers ended their three-year romance back in September.

According to what Jordin Sparks sings in her diss track targeting Jason Derulo, things obviously changed between them for the worst with Jason’s recently accelerated trip to fame and success.

“Once you blew up, head got big and you started changing.
Can’t believe all the things that you started saying.
Like I’m with you for your fame and your name. What?”

In the months that have passed since Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo ended their relationship, Jordin has remained mostly quiet about her post-breakup feelings. As you can tell from this song, that period of silence is over.
