‘Teen Mom 2’ Blamed For Leah Calvert’s Marital Issues
Teen Mom 2 is reportedly the reason Leah and Jeremy Calvert’s marriage fell apart. In a new report, a source claimed the show added pressure to the relationship and ultimately led to the pair’s reported divorce.
“Things are still rocky for them,” a friend of Leah told Radar Online on November 25. “Leah is doing everything she can to keep her family together, including leaving reality TV. All the attention from the show played a hand in one failed marriage, and she’s not going to let that happen again.”
Although there have been reports claiming Jeremy, who recently tweeted that he was “done,” filed for divorce, Radar’s source claimed the Teen Mom 2 star hasn’t been informed of any such filing. “She says they’re having a difficult time but haven’t given up yet,” the insider explained.
“Robbie has been around the family a lot in recent months, but she swears nothing sexual happened,” the friend says.
Hours prior to Radar Online‘s report, a source revealed to In Touch Weekly that Jeremy had filed for divorce.
“They’ve been having problems for a while now, and Leah cheating in October was the final straw,” a friend told the magazine. “She always thought she’d be able to win him back. The fact that she can’t has made her a total mess. She’s hit rock bottom.”
“Leah wronged Jeremy and now she’s begging for his forgiveness,” the insider added. “But he’s totally done with her.”
As the Inquisitr reported earlier this month, the Teen Mom 2 star’s alleged drug use is said to have led her friends and family to consider holding an intervention. “Leah’s not in a good place right now. She’s lost. Her friends think she needs rehab,” a source told In Touch Weekly. “MTV would foot the bill,” the source explains. “They’re as shocked about this as the fans and genuinely want her to get help.”
Despite Jeremy’s claims that Leah cheated on him with Robbie Kidd, the same man she cheated on Corey Simms with, Leah has maintained that she is loyal, even taking to Twitter with a retweet, which read, “If loyalty is what you need, with a #Taurus you will succeed.” According to the Inquisitr, Leah’s tweet came a short time after Jeremy’s allegations were made.
At the time, Leah also told fans, “Pretty presents wont be enough. You must provide and protect your #Taurus female on an on-going basis to impress her.”
MTV has yet to confirm Teen Mom 2 Season 6.
