‘The Walking Dead’ Midseason Finale Spoilers: Is There Hope For Beth Greene? [Video]

The Walking Dead midseason finale (“Coda”) will likely mark the end of the road for one or more members of Rick’s group of survivors. Many fans are convinced that Emily Kinney’s character, Beth Greene, will be one of next week’s casualties, but a recent photo might give Bethyl shippers a glimmer of hope.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Emily Kinney hasn’t been spotted on the set of The Walking Dead in weeks, and this definitely isn’t a good sign. The Spoiling Dead Fans Facebook page is usually spot-on with its spoilers, and it has reported that Beth’s death is coming next week.

“There is a ‘standoff’ of sorts. Beth has the choice to leave and has a moment of gumption (or weakness, depending on how you look at it) that leads to her demise… Beth’s death will be a harrowing moment not only for Beth, but for Daryl, Carol and the others as well.”

However, now some fans of The Walking Dead believe that they’ve discovered evidence that Beth Greene won’t die during the midseason finale. According to Fansided, a photo is making the rounds that appears to show Emily Kinney on the Alexandria Safe Zone set. It was taken during the final days of filming for Season 5. As you can see, the photo was taken from so far away that it’s impossible to tell who the blonde woman is.

The Walking Dead Emily Kinney Spotted

Some fans believe that the woman in the photo could be American Horror Story: Murder House actress Alexandra Breckenridge. She was recently added to The Walking Dead cast, and she’ll likely make her first appearance near the end of Season 5. In her social media photos, she currently has her hair dyed blonde.

Alexandra Breckenridge The Walking Dead

The mystery deepened when The Walking Dead Enthusiasts used Twitter to ask Alexandra Breckenridge about the identity of the woman. She seemed to indicate that it’s not her by tweeting that she has no idea who the woman is.

Of course, it’s entirely possible that she was lying to avoid giving away any spoilers.

Rick Grimes’ old pal Morgan is following the Termites’ tree marks, so he’ll eventually catch up with Rick’s group. There’s a possibility that Beth will be left for dead during the hospital showdown, but perhaps Morgan will find her alive and well weeks later. This would explain why Emily Kinney wasn’t seen filming for a long period of time. It’s a farfetched theory, but it’s something for Bethyl fans to hold onto.

On the flip side of the coin, Daryl Dixon actor Norman Reedus recently made a few comments that make it sound like his character will suffer a huge loss in “Coda.” As the Inquisitr previously reported, Reedus admitted that the final moments of The Walking Dead midseason finale are so devastating that he “cried and cried and cried” before shooting them.

Obviously, the death of Beth Greene or Carol Peletier would have this effect on Daryl Dixon.

During a recent interview with Yahoo! TV, Norman Reedus talked about how much Beth and Carol mean to Daryl.

“Those two ladies mean so much to Daryl. I think those two females symbolize so much for him. A hope, and a friendship, and a compassion. And he probably doesn’t even realize what that means. I know that everyone’s trying to set Daryl up with someone.”

Norman also said that Darly Dixon will “do anything to get his two girls back,” and he revealed that what happens during the midseason finale will cause all of the survivors to “change dramatically.”

You can check out a sneak peek of “Coda” below. Caryl and Bethyl shippers will be disappointed that it doesn’t showcase their favorite people. Instead, it features Father Gabriel making a gruesome discovery that might make him change his mind about how he feels about Rick’s group.
