Lisa Bonet Denies Cosby: Actress’ ‘Tweet’ To Bill Cosby Was A Hoax, Says Rep

Lisa Bonet denies commenting about Bill Cosby on social media days after a tweet went viral. According to People Magazine, the actress never said anything about Cosby on social media or otherwise. Apparently the whole thing was a hoax. Bonet, who played Cosby’s daughter, Denise, on The Cosby Show, has now spoken out via a rep, and she wants it known that not only was that tweet fabricated, but she has “no comment” on the story at all.

“Lisa Bonet has no social media of any kind. Any posts made in her name were made by impersonators with unverified accounts. She also has no comment on the ongoing story,” said Bonet’s manager.

Lisa Bonet denied the Cosby tweet after actress Raven-Symoné took to Instagram to deny rumors that Cosby sexually assaulted her. Despite efforts to try to blow this situation into something much bigger than it may be (like Bill Cosby sexually assaulted every female, woman, and child, that he ever came into contact with).

“I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the ‘Cosby Show’! I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this,” Raven wrote.

According to The Root, Raven-Symoné is the only actor from The Cosby Show to speak out about the allegations in general.

While Lisa Bonet denies Cosby the benefit of the doubt by not defending him, her manager’s statement does make a bit of a difference in the overall scandal. Perhaps some of Cosby’s accusers are not being completely honest. Do you think Bill Cosby sexually assaulted dozens of women? Or do you think that this is getting blown out of proportion?

While those who worked with Cosby on The Cosby Show have been fairly quiet when it comes to commenting on the allegations, there are others who can’t seem to stop talking about them. The most recent is actress Renita Chaney Hill, who starred in Picture Pages with Cosby. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Hill came forward and made claims that Cosby abused her when she was just 15-years-old.

“One time, I remember just before I passed out, I remember him kissing and touching me and I remember the taste of his cigar on his breath, and I didn’t like it. I remember another time when I woke up in my bed the next day and he was leaving. He mentioned you should probably lose a little weight. I thought that odd, how would he know that?”
