Leah Remini Reveals The Last Movie That Made Her Cry

Leah Remini opened up to People this weekend about some “last things,” including some tidbits of information about her home and family life. The magazine asked some pointed questions of Remini, who is a noted sitcom star and some-time talk show host.

Remini wasn’t too shy to admit that even small, sentimental films affect her emotionally. She revealed that the movie that last made her cry was a popular summer blockbuster, which she saw only reluctantly.

At the urging of her 10-year-old daughter Sofia, she saw The Fault in Our Stars. The movie version of the popular book starred Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, for whom Remini said Sofia harbors a crush. Sofia had already viewed the flick three times before mom took the time to watch it.

The Fault in Our Stars is about two teenagers who are living with cancer. The film also stars Laura Dern and Willem Dafoe.

Other revelations Remini gave to People included the fact that she is frequently pulled over while on the road — although she doesn’t realize she’s speeding. She was once pulled over twice in a single week. She said she’s always honest with the authorities when it happens.

Her family’s last vacation was in Montana, and her last embarrassing moment saw her getting up close and personal with her husband, Angelo Pagan. While attending Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, she stuck close to her hubby, arms wrapped around him with her eyes shut.

She told People, “I didn’t realize what a scaredy-cat I am.”

Remini, now 44, has been acting since she was a teenager. She had guest spots on sitcoms such as Head Of The Class, Blossom, and Friends and a recurring spot on Saved by the Bell. She rose to fame as Carrie on The King of Queens, which aired from 1998 to 2007.

Remini is currently starring on the TV Land show The Exes, which stars fellow sitcom veteran Kristen Johnston, who has anchored the show since 2011. In addition to her acting gigs, Remini was also seen more recently as co-host of Dancing with the Stars, filling in briefly for Erin Andrews. She got positive response from fans, whom Remini thanked on Twitter for their support.

The Exes airs Wednesdays on TV Land.
