Reconciliation: Kendra Wilkinson, Hank Baskett ‘Divorce’ Off, Couple Renewing Vows [Report]
Perhaps the second time around is better? According to the latest rumor on Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett, the troubled couple is reportedly renewing their wedding vows. Despite the marital turbulence created in the wake of Hank’s alleged cheating scandal with a transsexual, the season finale of Kendra on Top offered a glimmer of hope for the Basketts, citing a Hollywood Life report.
The year 2014 has been anything but uneventful for Kendra and Hank. Their five-year marriage has gone topsy-turvy at breakneck speed. But just when tabloids and prevailing rumors all but wrote the final divorce chapter in their relationship, things started looking a bit peachy for the former Playboy bunny and her ex-NFL player husband.
In the WE tv reality show’s finale, Kendra Wilkson and Hank Baskett, at the behest of their couples therapist, went out on a date. There, Hank presented his estranged wife with a some cool finger-bling on the hopes they could be “best friends” again and renew their vows. She accepted the yellow diamond ring, but gave it back to hank with a proposal that he move back into their Calabasas home.
Last week, Kendra and Hank sat down for an interview and dished on the state of affairs with their troubled marriage.
“We’re two human beings who discovered we’re not perfect,” Kendra explained
Hank agreed and noted that it will take time to heal the pain, and he is committed to resolving the lingering trust issues that put his marital vows with Kendra on the brink.
Renewing their marital union is only the first step, he concedes.
“Love got us through this. I will spend my life trying to get Kendra to trust me again.”
Baskett went on to retweet a story about his reconciliation with Kendra. As the Inquisitr previously wrote, he appears to be putting in the effort to save his marriage.
Before she hopped an overseas flight Down Under to join the ITV1 show cast of I’m A Celeb, Kendra said she took a leap of faith and agreed to give her marriage another chance. Word is Kendra has been smitten with X Factor hunk Jake Quickenden. From the moment he arrived on location, she couldn’t contain herself. Meanwhile, sources say Hank, who is back in the States caring for their two children, is bothered heavily by his wife’s flirtatious behavior in the wake of their agreement to renew their vows in marriage.
Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett have been trying to keep a lid on their marriage strains ever since Hank allegedly cheated by hooking up with a transsexual while his wife was pregnant with their second child together. During the public fiasco, Kendra tried standing by her man until things got too heavy. And it didn’t help that Wilkinson’s longstanding stress with her mother was nearing an all-time high.
Nonetheless, insiders say Wilkinson is focused on making the second time around better than their first. As far as renewing her vows with Hank is concerned, the details of the ceremony are scant. However, Kendra wants her estranged father, Eric, to walk her down the aisle. She also wants her two children to take part in the reconciliation wedding to mark their total commitment as a family.
