Danica McKellar Weds Attorney Scott Sveslosky

The Wonder Years actress Danica McKellar has finally found her true love in attorney Scott Sveslosky. According to People Magazine, the couple wed in a beachfront ceremony over the weekend. The tropical nuptials took place in Kauai, Hawaii, and according to McKellar’s lawyer, the ceremony was private with only 25 of the couple’s family and friends attending.

The former Dancing With the Stars star told People Magazine the wedding was “absolutely magical.” She continued to set the scene for all of us.

“We were married at 6:30 a.m. in a sunrise ceremony. The forecast predicted rain, but there was not a drop of water in the clear sky. The sun came peaking up over the mountains just as I was walking down the aisle, alongside both my parents.”

As the Inquisitr reported, the star was married to Mike Verta, who she has a son with, named Draco. Danica filed for divorce back in 2012. Her current husband also has a child, a 10-year-old son named Hunter. The couple’s engagement was very short, possibly due to their families. Back in July the couple were excited about being able to merge their lives together. McKellar said in a statement, “We are looking forward to merging our families.”

If you’re wondering where McKellar has been since she signed off of The Wonder Years, she decided to dedicate herself to her education. The actress went to UCLA, studied math and graduated summa cum laude. She has written four books on surviving math. Now she wants to return to acting, and her first step was getting exposure as a contestant on Dancing With the Stars.

Her role on Dancing With the Stars fit perfectly into her new marriage. McKellar explained, “Before we met, Scott had wanted to learn ballroom dancing, and when I got on DWTS, he was even more inspired. At the reception, our first dance as husband and wife was a choreographed waltz to “So This Is Love” from Cinderella, which included dips and lifts and other tricks I learned on DWTS.”

As for their honeymoon, Danica says they’re staying put in Hawaii.

“It’s so beautiful here. We’ve surfed, kayaked, hiked and even zip lined upside down.”
