Grisly Details Released in Mother’s Murder Of Three Children And Her Own Suicide

Details of the murder of three children and the suicide of their mother were released after an investigation of the incident that occurred April of last year. The children’s father, Craig McLelland, was said to have had an argument with Fiona Anderson, their mother, the day prior to the murder suicide. He is not thought to be guilty of the crime.

Fiona Anderson was pregnant at the time of the murders, and was afraid her children might have been taken from her. She became paranoid as the fear of losing her children caused her to become unable to cope with the situation. As a result, she decided to end her life, and refused to leave her children behind.

In a note to the Craig McLelland, she stated, “[A] mother never abandons her children.”

Fiona Anderson was found to be mentally unstable. The murders of her children were performed, at least in her eyes, out of love for the kids. The bodies of 3-year-old Levina, 11-month-old Kyden, and 2-year-old Addy were found in her bed. Each child had writing on them that spelled out, “I love you”, along with a kiss left behind by lipstick, according to BBC News.

The notes were written on the walls in green marker.

One message said, “I put them to bed with their bear bears – they love their bears.”

Another stated, “[T]hey cuddled up together sleeping. They look so peaceful.”

Upon each of the children, Anderson drew a heart on their chests and the words “I love you x.” She finished her tribute by writing their names on them. The name Eve was also found nearby, a tribute to her unborn child.

Fiona Anderson’s body was found next to a nearby car park, where she jumped to her own death after drowning her children.

According to Metro UK, Anderson not only argued with Craig McLelland the day prior to the murder of her children, she also stabbed him. However, he lied to police and stated that he was randomly stabbed on the street. He later stated that he lied because he feared his children would be taken into social services. He now regrets lying to the police.

The incident that took place in Lowestoft is dramatically different than America’s infamous child killer, Casey Anthony. However, the tale is just as tragic and avoidable in substance.
