Now You Can Live At Walt Disney World! [Video]

Now “The happiest place on earth” can be your home… for a small fortune, that is. Disney fanatics will be foaming at the mouth at the mere thought of not only visiting the magical Walt Disney World, but have the opportunity to buy a residence on the property itself. That is almost too much to hope for.

But, according to ABC News, nothing is beyond the realm of imagination when it comes to Disney, and if you have at least $1.8 million, then you’re in business.

Disney’s latest project is a new luxury community in which Disney, for the first time, is offering full ownership. Golden Oak, which is named after the Walt Disney Company’s California ranch, is a gated community consisting of 450 fabulous homes, as reported by the Huffington Post.

According to Disney, the name “Golden Oak” has a special sentiment. But why would Disney lovers believe anything any different? Disney is all about sentiments, memories, and dreams, after all. It stems from Walt Disney’s childhood in Missouri when he spend countless hours creating ideas under the sprawling branches of his “dreaming tree.”

It’s been said that “gold nuggets” had been found under that tree, therefore, Golden Oak came into being.

Developed by Walt Disney Imagineering, the 980 acres of Golden Oak is nothing short of magnificent with it’s lush gardens, footbridges, and recreational pathways.

With the Disney homes of Golden Oak ranging from $1.8 million to up to $7 million, it should go without saying that amenities abound. According to Fox News, one large perk of living at Disney World is having a 24-hour concierge at your service. It’s like having a butler, only he may not bring you a cup of hot cocoa and a Mickey Mouse shaped cookie at bedtime.

This concierge, will, however, “book tickets to the parks, schedule VIP tours, help plan dinners and parties, create Disney holiday decor, provide private transportation to any destination within Walt Disney World and to make spa appointments and tee-times. They’ll even arrange baby-sitting,” as per Fox News. The baby-sitting alone would make a parent’s dream come true.

Sam Bergami, a current homeowner in Disney Golden Oak, has actually visited Walt Disney World Resort 300 times since 1976, as per the Huffington Post. His expenses alone in vacationing those 300 times would probably more than pay for his house. So living at Disney World was a no brainer for this man.

Nevertheless, Bergami would certainly agree that the extra perks of park passes, door-to-park transportation, extended hours for visiting attractions such as the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, and a 17,000-square-foot clubhouse which includes a restaurant are fantastic benefits, to say the least.

Residents also have access to the spa and dining rooms at Walt Disney World’s all-new Four Seasons Hotel, which just opened it’s doors in the summer of 2014.

Amidst all the luxury, Walt Disney World still manages to add a little fun and magic into everything they do, and Golden Oak is no exception. The Walt Disney Imagineers gave homeowners a bonus of a “Hidden Mickey” somewhere in their house. Just as there are countless “hidden Mickeys” throughout the parks, now that feature has been incorporated into the Disney homes.

They can be found in backsplashes, staircases, or even the shape of the pool.
