Gabriel Harris: Drunken Cyclist Fights Two Cops In Taco Bell Drive-Thru, Gives Amazing Mug-Shot

A Florida man who simply wanted to get some food from a Taco Bell drive-thru ended up in prison after getting into a scuffle with police officers.

33-year-old Gabriel Harris was riding his bike on Sunday morning after a night of drinking when he decided that he was rather hungry. Harris came across a Taco Bell in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and alongside a female friend they rode up to the fast-food establishment on their bikes.

The intoxicated pair then began to order a meal at the window of the drive-thru. This is where the trouble began, though, because the duo had just run out of time to place their order because the window was now closing.

Their plight was also thwarted because the duo were riding on their bikes and drive-thru can only serve people inside cars. Even though they were asked to leave repeatedly, Harris and his friend insisted that they weren’t going anywhere until they got their food.

At this point, employees decided to call the authorities and slyly rang 911. Officers soon arrived at the Taco Bell and came across Gabriel Harris, still on his bike and next to the menu.

Police then went over to Harris and told him that he needed to leave the establishment. As they were doing just that, though, one of the officers noticed that Harris had a Swiss Army knife on his belt. He tried to reach for it, and this resulted in Harris grabbing the policeman’s wrist.

The duo then started to fight in the Taco Bell drive-thru and it concluded with Gabriel Harris being wrestled down to the floor where he was handcuffed. According to Daytona Beach News-Journal [via Huffington Post] during the mini-battle, Harris actually suffered an injury as his forehead was wounded.

Once Gabriel Harris was subdued he was then taken and booked into Volusia County Branch Jail. He posed for his above mug shot which, despite his offense, you can’t help but be impressed by.

Ultimately Gabriel Harris was charged with resisting arrest with violence, and he was finally released after posting his $1,000 bond. The Miami Herald has reported that this is the second time that Gabriel Harris has been arrested for resisting arrest. However, he not only didn’t do it on that occasion with violence, but he also posed with a happier mugshot then too.
