Kaia Gerber Teen Vogue: 13-Year-Old Kaia Gerber Makes Magazine Modeling Debut In Teen Vogue
Kaia Gerber is in Teen Vogue, putting another notch on her modeling career at the young age of 13. According to the Spreadit, Gerber is following in her mother’s footsteps. Cindy Crawford’s daughter was featured in an ad campaign for Young Versace in 2012, and while she received a good deal of praise for the photos, her mom thought she was “too young” to break into the industry.
“There aren’t even a handful of jobs for a 10-year-old girl. But if she’s 17 and wants to try it … of course, what can I say?” Crawford said at the time. While she is a little bit older, Kaia likely won’t be having a full-blown modeling career just yet; she is an aspiring actor, after all.
Kaia Gerber’s spread in Teen Vogue is very laid back and age-appropriate. According to All Media NY, this is the very first magazine shoot for Kaia. She has done a couple of other things, such as pose in photos that her brother Presley Gerber took, but nothing commercial.

Many think that Kaia is the spitting image of her mother, but Cindy doesn’t completely agree. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Cindy sees herself a bit in her little girl, but not as much as everyone else seems to.
“Other people see more of me in her than I do, but I just see her. I always tease her that she stole everything from me. I’m like, ‘You have my old legs and I want them back!'” Crawford joked. The legendary model has given her daughter some pretty sound advice when it comes to the business, too. And Cindy knows just as well as anyone else that modeling is hard work.
“[Kaia] liked it, but she also saw that it’s hard work. When we left the shoot, it wasn’t like, ‘Oh, I can’t wait to do that again.’ It was like, ‘That was kinda hard!'” Crawford recalled of Kaia’s first modeling gig back in 2012.
In Kaia Gerber’s interview with Teen Vogue, she said that having her mom as her “coach” is a plus, but it sounds like Crawford can’t help herself whether her expertise is wanted or not!
“She knows so much about it. I think it would be hard for her to be on set and not say things like, ‘Psst, Kaia, put your elbow up,'” Kais said (via E! News).
