Watch These Adorable Kids Dance To And Lip-Sync Idina Menzel And Michael Bublé’s ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’

Idina Menzel and Michael Bublé have teamed up to sing the classic Christmas-time duet, “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” on her new album, Holiday Wishes, and to mark the occasion, Warner Brothers Records has put out an adorable video of the song being lip-synced by a pair of dancing kids.

The video is set in a fancy, big-city hotel, circa 1950 – the heyday of Buddy Clark and Dinah Shore, who recorded arguably the most popular version of the song. In it, a young lad of about 12, lip-syncing Michae Bubleé’s part, sheds his bellhop costume and puts on a tux, while trying to get the attention of a girl of a similar age, playing Idina Menzel’s part, wearing a fancy gown. The two eventually do a ballroom dance, while hotel “guests” (other kids) look on in disapproval.

To keep the video kid-friendly, some deft changes had to be made to the lyrics’ subtle sexual innuendo and not-so-subtle references to cigarettes and drinking, according to Us Magazine. For example, “Maybe just a cigarette more” becomes “Maybe just a soda pop more.”

The video’s most adorable moment comes at 1:50, when the boy playing Michael’s part looks in the mirror and gives a grown-up version of himself a wink, and the girl gets a smile from a grown-up Idina Menzel.

Young Idina Menzel is portrayed by British actress Emily Carey, who so far in her career has done mostly stage work in London. Michael Bublé’s young doppelganger is Harry Collett. The video was directed by Brett Sullivan.

Idina Menzel’s “Baby It’s Cold Outside” video couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time, as the entire country is currently in the midst of a deep freeze, according to a previous report from the Inquisitr.
