‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Cast Rumored For Cyclops, Jean Grey
The X-Men: Apocalypse cast may have been partially revealed. Individuals with inside information on 20th Century Fox’s next superhero ensemble have released a list of actors and actresses who may be playing fan-favorite mutants next time.
Recast roles have become almost commonplace in Fox’s superhero franchise. In this case it’s mostly due to the characters needing to be much younger than they were the last time we saw them. X-Men: Apocalypse takes place in the rebooted world made possible shortly after the “early” events in Days of Future Past, and concludes the storyline which began in First Class. Along with Magneto (Sir Ian McKellen) and Professor Xavier (Sir Patrick Stewart), other members of the original lineup will need to be recast to show a younger age.
These suggestions were revealed in Days of Future Past when Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) told the younger professor to keep an eye out for Storm, Jean Grey, and Scott. This possibly means those characters will be freshly recruited in the next film and play a major role in stopping first mutant En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse.
While it’s unknown who will join the X-Men: Apocalypse cast to play a younger Storm, Jean Grey and Cyclops have been narrowed down to a handful of choices, according to the Wrap.
Returning director Bryan Singer has been rumored approaching Chloe Moretz, known for her role in the Kick-Ass films, and Elle Fanning from Maleficent. Haylee Steinfeld is also rumored to play the young Jean Grey, following her role in the recent remake of True Grit.
Cyclops will also be recast, though possibly taking a queue from Star Wars with a fresh face. The top contenders so far have been revealed to be Ben Hardy, Charlie Rowe, and Timothee Chalamet. Hardy would come straight from his role in the U.K. TV series EastEnders, Rowe is currently in Fox’s Red Band Society, and Chalamet has seen the big screen already with Interstellar.
None of these rumors about the new X-Men: Apocalypse cast have been confirmed, and no suggestions were made yet for who might play the role of the younger Storm.

Two possible actresses who might replace Halle Berry are Kat Graham (The Parent Trap) and Kiersey Clemons (Cloud 9). Both are just speculation based on their age, relative talent, and ethnicity, and Bryan Singer may have others in mind.
As the rumors surrounding the latest X-Men begin to heat up in the wake of Days of Future Past, we can expect some of them to solidify closer to the day production begins.
