NJ Cop Jason Miller Exposes Himself To Men On Duty, Authorities Claim

New Jersey cop Jason Miller, 37, has been accused of repeatedly exposing himself to his male traffic stops, Newton Police claim.

The father of two is being charged with official misconduct, a pattern of official misconduct, and “lewdness” (i.e. unzipping his pants and exposing himself to several young men over a “months long” period, Mediaite reports.

The affidavit, initially obtained by the Smoking Gun, states that one of the young men was “asked several disturbing questions and one was about his sexuality.”

A separate young man claimed that Officer Jason Miller’s “junk was hanging out.” The Newton Police took several of these complaints and began looking for evidence.

In so doing, they discovered that there was video evidence of Miller exposing himself, and it didn’t happen just once.

The affidavit mentions one 22-year-old male, referred to as “A.B.,” who said that the traffic stop in question happened on the night of October 22, 2014.

“He explained that shortly after leaving the bar, he was stopped by the officer. He stated that during the motor vehicle stop, he noticed the officer’s zipper was down. A.B. said it appeared that his genitals were exposed and he saw what appeared to be something skin colored. A.B. then went on to explain that a male friend had a similar incident with a Newton Officer.”

Perhaps most peculiar is that Miller didn’t even seem to want anything other than to expose himself as he, on several occasions, let the young men go, even when there was evidence they were driving while intoxicated.

Jason Miller is currently out on $35,000 bail and, while he remains a Newton Police Officer, he probably shouldn’t get used to it. He’s been suspended indefinitely without pay as the investigation progresses.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first case of police officers behaving badly that the Inquisitr has reported on this year. In a separate incident in March of this year, a Detroit police officer responding to a 911 call allegedly raped a woman.

A 31-year-old woman told investigators that after the officers arrived she was taken to an upstairs bedroom by one while the other remained downstairs with her boyfriend. The woman said she was sexually assaulted in the bedroom by the officer, who told her he would return later that morning, prosecutors said.

In the case of Officer Jason Miller, do you think he should lose his job over the incidents or should the department just stick with the suspension?
