Blake Shelton Leaving ‘The Voice’? New Interview Suggests Blake Wants A Change

Is Blake Shelton leaving The Voice? According to Hollywood Life, Blake made a comment about leaving the show to get back to “having a life,” but he also said that he was not planning on “quitting” any time soon. So, was this the coach’s way of saying that he may want to take some time off from the show? Or was he just being funny, typical Blake? It is somewhat hard to tell.

“I can’t imagine … doing this forever. I mean, at some point you gotta get back to … having a life… I don’t want to stop anytime soon, but this show is like the damn — it’s like being on the damn Price Is Right, being on The Voice. I mean, it’s on every single night of the damn week every day of the year … so probably not forever, but I don’t know, not quittin’ anytime soon.”

Blake Shelton is a big part of The Voice. Fans of the show who aren’t fans of country music like him, and he will certainly be missed if he leaves. Hollywood Life took a poll and asked if people would still watch the show if the country singer left. Not surprisingly, 80 percent of people said “no,” they would not watch the show anymore. Everyone seems to appreciate Blake’s humor, his input, and the relationships he has with the other coaches.

Many believe that Shelton and his wife, Miranda Lambert, have been having marital issues and that his time on the show has a lot to do with that. Since he’s in Los Angeles and Lambert is busy touring the country, their relationship might be strained. However, that doesn’t seem to stop either of them from going about their business as usual. As Enstarz points out, Blake has been pretty quick to shoot down divorce rumors and cheating allegations. But the rumors just haven’t gone away.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the current season of The Voice has narrowed their finalists to the Top 12. Blake has just as good of a chance of winning as his television rivals Adam Levine, Pharrell, and Gwen Stefani, but will the outcome of the show determine whether Blake stays or goes?
