Chelsea Houska Mourns The Loss Of Her Dog Darla

Chelsea Houska is mourning the loss of her dog.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Teen Mom 2 star revealed the sad news of the loss of her pug, Darla, on her Instagram account. Along with a heartfelt message, Houska shared a collage of photos with fans. In the first photo, her daughter, five-year-old Aubree, was seen lying on a couch with Darla on her lap. In the second photo, Houska was seen giving the pug a kiss, and in the third, Darla was seen by herself.

“My heart hurts so much. After surgery, Darla had some complications pulling through and we lost our sweet and very loving dog. She’s been with us through a lot and she has been such a great friend to Aubree and I. We miss you Dar.”

Chelsea Houska, who the Inquisitr recently revealed found love with Cole DeBoer, has suffered a lot of heartache when it comes to her pets. In early 2013, a neighbor’s dog reportedly attacked and killed her french bulldog puppy, Frankie. Two years prior, her pug Pixie went missing after her dad’s barn burned down. At the time, the reality star told Us Weekly the blaze was started by “some little kids who were shooting fireworks. There were some hay bales on the top part that were old and dried out and they caught on fire.”

Unfortunately, Houska remained unsure of what happened to her dog. “[My dad] said they just let her out like usual, and she didn’t come back,” she explained, adding the pug was “a huge part of our family.”

“I got her when I was a sophomore in high school… I’ve been especially close to her. We also have two labs that are outside dogs, and sometimes we let Pixie out to run with them. She’s been doing it her whole life. We made posters, and Aubree and I are going to go around town and put them up. Hopefully [we’ll] get the word out around town. She’s very important to our family, and we are all really attached to her and upset that she’s gone. Aubree and [Pixie] were best friends, and every time we come to my dad’s, the first thing Aubree says is, ‘Pixie!'”

In other Chelsea Houska news, the reality star and her former boyfriend, Adam Lind, are reportedly doing better when it comes to co-parenting. On their daughter Aubree’s first day of school, both parents were in attendance, and according to the Inquisitr, they got along great.
