Carrie Underwood Tells How She Learned Of Baby’s Sex, It Wasn’t At The Doctor’s Office

Expectant mother, Carrie Underwood, found out what the baby’s sex was in a unique fashion. She and husband, Mike Fisher, found out in a very fun, creative way. The country star tells ABC News radio how she learned of the baby’s gender.

A lot of pregnant women find out what gender their baby is during an ultrasound at the doctor’s office. Underwood shares that whenever she and Mike were watching the ultrasound, they would look away when the doctor would get close to the baby’s genitals. Carrie says the doctor’s office is “kind of a sterile place,” so she and her husband opted to find out THEIR way if they were having a boy or girl.

Underwood and Fisher asked the doctor to write down their unborn baby’s gender so they both could look at it when they were ready.

The 31-year-old went to a nice restaurant with her husband and brought an envelope with them.

“[It was] just the two of us in a nicer setting, but we both knew. So, that was just confirming our suspicions. We didn’t really speak of it before, ’cause we were both just like, ‘Whatever. It’s all good.’ But we knew it was a boy.”

Just last week Carrie Underwood let the sex of the baby be known when she and Brad Paisley were joking on-stage at the CMA Awards. Paisley “accidentally” revealed that his co-host was expecting a boy. Carrie says she was planning to announce the baby’s sex at the awards show and didn’t let Paisley know until the last minute.

“Brad’s got loose lips. He’s a blabber mouth! So, I was like, ‘I’m not gonna tell you until we’re ready for the rest of the world to know, ’cause I know you’ll tell people.'”

Underwood announced her pregnancy on Labor Day and joined The View co-hosts a few weeks ago to let everyone know when she’s due. While she didn’t reveal an exact date, she’s due next spring. As the Inquisitr reported, the country music star wants the actual due date to be something only she and Mike know about. They want to keep some kind of secret in the celebrity world.

Eagle Country 99.3 FM reports that Mike would “be happy with either” and that Carrie was”kind of” in a way “hoping a little” bit for a girl.

When Carrie Underwood learned of the baby’s sex, she probably wouldn’t have wanted it any other way!
