White Sox GM Kenny Williams’ Home Burglarized, Thief Defrosted A Lobster

In what is probably the strangest burglary case of 2011, Chicago police say a man broke into the house of White Sox GM Kenny Williams, ate his food, drank his beer, donned his 2005 World Series ring, and even tried on Williams’ clothes.

The burglar, Wayne L. Field III, 51, made himself at home, eating frozen pizza, surfing the web on Williams’ PC, laying in the bed without shoes on and even defrosting a lobster — Yes, you read that correctly.

According to authorities, Field was apprehended sometime later when he returned to the scene of the crime and was spotted peeking through one of the home’s windows. In addition to leaving his medical ID bracelet in Williams’ home, Field allegedly was also still wearing some of the GM’s clothes and had the stolen World Series ring in his possession at the time of his arrest.

Field has been charged with residential burglary for allegedly unlawfully entering the house and is expected in bond court Tuesday.

The whole ordeal went down while Kenny Williams was out of town between Nov. 18 and 21, police said according to the NBCChicago article.
