Son Hacks Father To Pieces, Uses Body Parts As A TV Stand, Authorities Claim

Body parts were used as a TV stand, capping off a grisly crime in Bournemouth, England, in which authorities claim a 28-year-old son killed his father and chopped him into pieces.

Nathan Robinson is believed to have had a falling out with his father, William Spiller, a 6′ 5″ 350-pound man, Gawker noted.

In a separate report from the BBC, Spiller’s partner, Glenys Molyneaux, said that she assumed Spiller was staying with a friend. But when she couldn’t get him to respond to repeated text messages, she alerted police.

Police officers found Spiller in a series of plastic boxes that were arranged to form a TV stand. His head was found in a filing cabinet.

Jury members had to endure looking at photographs of Robinson’s flat, including the grisly “furniture.” Adding to the gruesome details of this case, a neighbor living below Robinson said he “noticed a ‘pink liquid’ dripping through his bathroom ceiling,” BBC adds.

This same neighbor had been privy to an argument prior to the crime in which Spiller expressed his disdain with “subsidizing” his son.

“Do you expect me to keep subsidizing you for the rest of my life?” were the exact words, the neighbor claimed.

Robinson is pleading not guilty to murder, but does admit to manslaughter adding that it was due to “diminished responsibility.” He was described as “very calm, just normal, very collected,” by those who went to investigate his father’s disappearance.

Prosecutor Nigel Lickley charged that Robinson had taken “at least £7,750 of his father’s cash and spent up to £300,” adding that he was “drinking, eating and socializing” with friends in Glasgow. The whole time he continued sending text messages from Spiller’s phone pretending to be his dead father, though apparently he stopped sending them to Molyneaux at some point.

Other actions he took immediately following his father’s death included paying for a vegan weekend hotel stay in Bristol with his mother. He was arrested at her home in Birmingham.

While the body parts as TV stand scenario is probably as gruesome as the Inquisitr has covered, it hasn’t been alone in shock value, at least not in 2014.

In June of this year, two workers in Wisconsin found bodies in suitcases. The bodies had been dismembered and left near a small town of only 4,000 people.

To date, the killer or killers haven’t been caught.

As for the body parts as TV stand case, do you think the killer needs to be incarcerated or be committed to a mental institution?
