“The Fault In Our Stars” Has Sky Rocketed Woodley And Elgort To Stardom

The movie “The Fault in our Stars,” based on the John Green novel of the same name, proved to be one of the most successful movies of this summer and made household names of Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. This love story introduced us to Hazel Grace and Augustus, two terminally ill teenagers who find each other in a cancer survivor support group, fall in love and deal with each others cancer as best as they can by simply loving each other in the time they have left. The movie took viewers on an emotional roller coaster ride for the duration of the film.

Shailene Woodley did such an outstanding job in her role that the 22-year-old star was just named Breakout Actress at the Hollywood Film Awards as reported by KpopStarz.com. “This movie changed my life prolifically,” said Woodley at the event. “It’s such a gift for me to know that other people have seen it because I think that the messages entwined in its words are so powerful.”

Riding on her success from this film, The Hollywood Reporter writes that Woodley is now in negotiations to play the female lead in Oliver Stone‘s untitled Edward Snowden drama. Woodley would star opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who is tackling the NSA whistle blower in the film. Shailene has become one of the most in-demand actresses and would play the role of Snowden’s girlfriend.

Ansel Elgort next film role was in the movie “Divergent,” and his latest film, “Men, Women & Children,” hit theaters recently to great reviews. When not acting, Ansel has been busy spending his free time gracing the cover of popular magazines, doing photo shoots and playing pranks like the one on a niece of a famous talk show host as reported by The Inquisitr. That prank had him playing a makeup artist while his true identity was hidden behind makeup as he was pretending to be Ansel Elgort’s biggest hater to the unsuspecting niece. The niece would have none of that and remained a steadfast Elgort fan and got the shock of her life when Ansel had her remove his make up and revealed his true self.

These young actors have made a name for themselves in 2014, and although there won’t be a sequel to “The Fault in Their Stars,” Woodley and Elgort’s stars will continue to shine for years to come. Perhaps, they will team up together for another film that will again bring us all to tears once again.
