Kim Kardashian Buying Private Island? Wants To Build Amusement Park For North West
Kim Kardashian is looking to buy her own private island in Australia, with plans to make it more than just a place to sun her famous booty. The Daily Mail reports that the 34-year-old reality star, who is currently doing a global tour to promote her latest fragrance Fleur Fatale, is reportedly considering plunking down more than $5 million to buy Turtle Island off the coast of Queensland.
Kim landed in Sydney on Sunday and announced on Twitter that she was there to do a promotional push for her new perfume. What she didn’t tweet about was what the Daily Mail says is a “secret plan” to purchase Turtle Island and turn it into an amusement park for her 17-month-old daughter, North West.

New Idea magazine reports that it’s likely that Kim would rename the island “Isle Kardashian,” and “a water slide and ferris wheel are key attractions” that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wants North’s amusement park to have.
Kim would certainly have plenty of room to build a theme park for baby North if she ends up buying the private island in Australia. Caldwell Banker CG Realty Group in Queensland states that the 23.25 acre island “looks towards the east over the surrounding Islands and beyond to the Great Barrier Reef.” Sounds like the view from North West’s future ferris wheel would also be pretty spectacular.
“This truly is a private Island fit for a movie star or recluse celebrity. This home is perched high up on one of the handful of fully freehold private Islands on our magnificent Queensland Coast.”
The island also boasts a a luxurious Australian-designed mansion that includes 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, an in-ground pool and private jetty. There’s also a helipad in case Kim and her husband,Kanye West, want to borrow Donald Trump’s $10 million helicopter to make a quick trip over to one of the nearby islands.
The kitchen inside the Turtle Bay mansion has plenty of room should Kim decide to hire a staff of chefs to make carnival food for North’s amusement park. The main house reportedly has a massive kitchen with “enough cooking and preparation area that could cater for the biggest celebrity party or just enough for that hungry family.”
It is not known if Kim Kardashian will actually buy the private island while she’s in Australia or if it’s something she’ll have to put on her to-do list. She won’t be in Syndey for long — her most recent tweet states that she will also visit India and Dubai “all in one week.”
