Angelina Jolie Steals The Show At The Hollywood Film Awards In A Stunning Strapless Versace Gown
On Friday night, when Angelina Jolie took to the stage at the Hollywood Film Awards, the show was stolen by her beauty and grace.
Jolie, 39, took to the stage in a stunning black strapless Atelier Versace gown. Jolie presented the New Hollywood Award to Jack O’Connell. O’Connell portrayed an Olympic track star, and a World War II POW in Jolie’s second directorial job, Unbroken.
After accepting his award, O’Connell, brought up Jolie’s new title as an Honorary Dame, which was granted to her by Queen Elizabeth II, reported the Huffington Post.
“Angelina, my esteemed boss and good friend, her ladyship,” O’Connell said before he bowed on stage before her.
Jolie’s appearance helped re-establish class to the awards after Ben Affleck made nudity jokes and Johnny Depp gave a bizarre speech while appearing to be intoxicated.
During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Jolie spoke openly about the possibility she could be moving into politics. Jolie says she is considering politics so that she could make a ‘extreme change.’ Jolie, however, said she was uncertain if the career change was in her near future.
US Magazine reports that Jolie is busy promoting Unbroken, which will arrive in theaters on Christmas Day. Jolie is also busy working on By the Sea, which Jolie not only directs, but co-stars in with her husband Brad Pitt. By the Sea is the couples’ first on-screen reunion since Mr. and Mrs. Smith back in 2005
By The Sea is written and directed by Jolie. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie is a relationship drama that Jolie wrote several years ago. The story centers around a couple with issues who take a vacation in an attempt to save their sinking marriage. The Prime Minister of Malta, Joseph Muscat, confirmed the project was being filmed partially Mgarr ix -Xini. The movie began production on August 19, 2014.
The Hollywood Film Awards were Jolie’s first trip down the red carpet since marrying Brad Pitt back in August. The couple married after nine years together, and parenting six children, Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and 6-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Bragelina, as they are known in Hollywood, were married in the South of France on August 23. Jolie told Glamour that the couples six children helped them write their wedding vows.
“It does feel different, it feels nice to be husband and wife,” Jolie said.
Clearly, marriage has been good to Jolie as her star continues to shine.
