Nursing Home Owner Caught On Camera Raping Elderly Dementia Patient

The owner of a nursing home in Washington State raped an 83-year-old dementia patient, and the entire attack was caught on camera by the victim’s family.

New York Daily News reports that Laszlo Molnar was arrested on Thursday for second degree rape allegations. Molnar runs A & A Adult Family Home, which is located in Auburn.

The family of the victim installed a hidden camera inside of her room at the adult care home after sensing that something was not right.

After reviewing the tapes on Thursday night, that is when they claimed that they saw the 67-year-old owner sexually assaulting their family member.

Mark Caillier, Auburn police commander, opened up about the footage in an interview with KOMO News.

“It’s a very disturbing video. Obviously very disturbing, very traumatizing for the victim and the family.”

The other 11 residents inside of the nursing home were removed immediately from the facility. Each of them were individually placed on stretchers after being carefully blanketed before being taken to waiting ambulances. They were then placed in hospitals throughout the local area on a temporary basis. New York Daily News reports that 10 of those 11 residents have found permanent living arrangements in new nursing homes.

Each of the residents will also be carefully and closely examined for signs of sexual assault since the vast majority of them suffer from either dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. As a result of their mental conditions, officials state that they might not be able to communicate abuse.

KOMO News reports that the state of Washington has officially shut down the family home in which the alleged sexual attack took place.

Quite a few of Laszlo Molnar’s neighbors were surprised and shocked when they heard about the nature of the allegations.

The news crew tried to get a response from the wife of Laszlo Molnar. However, as seen in the footage provided by KOMO News, she refused to comment.

One of his neighbors, Regina Robles, is also a caregiver and spoke to KOMO News about how the allegations were very upsetting to her on a professional level.

“These people, their families trust us to take care of elderly people and that’s upsetting.”

The Department of Social and Health Services states that there have been other complaints reported in reference to the nursing home, including malfunctioning smoke detectors and bed bugs. However, none of those past complaints were as serious as these current allegations of rape and sexual assault.
