Andy Cohen Claims ‘RHONJ’ Stars Teresa And Joe Giudice Are In ‘Denial’ In His New Book

Andy Cohen is telling all in his new book, The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look At a Shallow Year.

In his September 22, 2013 entry to the book, which was written in diary form, Cohen opened up about Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice, recalling his interview with the couple, in which they discussed their 39-count indictment on charges of fraud.

“It was like pulling teeth,” Cohen revealed, according to a November 12 report by Radar Online. “They are either very un-introspective or in complete denial. Or both.”

“I said, ‘So…you guys are facing fifty years in prison, and they were like, ‘Is it fifty years? We thought it was a hundred. Is it fifty years both or just one or…’ So that’s something they are going to want to clarify with their attorneys.”

Also in his book, Andy Cohen slammed Long Island Medium star Theresa Caputo.

“I asked for a few minutes with her afterwards to see if Natasha would come through,” Cohen wrote, via Radar Online, of his late best friend, Natasha Richardson. “She didn’t, so it was a lot of fishing.”

The following day, Caputo’s manager contacted Cohen, offering him a second reading with the reality star. “[She] said she feels terrible that she didn’t give me a good reading and wants to do it over,” he explained, adding it was “a polite offer that I refused.

On November 5, the Inquisitr revealed Andy Cohen would discuss Bethenny Frankel’s return to The Real Housewives of New York City in his book. “I don’t hold back about who called me when, what they were bitching about, who was complaining about what, what people were saying behind the scenes at reunion shows—it’s all in there, and how I got Bethenny to come back to New York Housewives.” Cohen revealed during an interview with E! News‘ Alicia Quarels. “It’s all in there, so I think for Housewives fans, that dish is in there, too. People are always saying to me, ‘How do you deal with the Housewives,’ or, ‘What is your extent of involvement with them?’ It’s all in there.”

Cohen also spoke of Frankel’s return during an episode of his web series, Ask Andy. “I went over there to convince her to come back to the show and she had different ideas about things she wanted to do… I kind of said, ‘I don’t think that those are good ideas.’ I said, ‘I have a good idea,'” Cohen told his assistant, Daryn Carp, via the Inquisitr. “And then I brought it up and she’s like, ‘OK, I’m listening,’ and then I really told her all my reasons and I could tell that she was seriously going to think about it. We had a very long talk about it and we had a couple more long talks about it and then she said, ‘I’m in.’ We had a deal.”

Andy Cohen’s The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look At a Shallow Year was released on November 11, and is currently available.
