Hilary Duff, Nico Tortorella Dating Because This Lap-Sitting Photo Says So?
The old saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” If you’re a hard and fast subscriber to that belief, a photo of Hilary Duff appearing to sit on Nico Tortorella’s lap is all the proof you need. Some sources interpret the snap as evidence Hilary has moved on from estranged husband Mike Comrie, the split is permanent and she is dating Nico. Others say Duff and Tortorella were just having fun.
Hilary Duff posted a photo on her Instagram account with Younger costar Nico Tortorella, and the two appeared to be getting a bit cozy, likely more than her husband would approve — all things considered. In the picture, Hilary is sitting on Nico’s lap, and his hands were clasped around the Lizzie McGuire star’s waist.
Immediately, the rumor-mill cranked up, and many suggested Hilary and Nico are dating, and the photo serves as proof that the actress and her husband are not reconciling. The couple split back in January, but have been seen in recent weeks holding hands and appearing as if their marriage was on the mend. Hills and Mike vacationed together in the Bahamas, and sources say Comrie begged Duff for a second chance. They also attended a Halloween bash together last month (seen holding hands in this picture).

The former Disney actress and her costar had three blonde women tagging along while they were partying. Hilary sported a pair of body-hugging denim jeans, wore her blonde locks loosely, and topped them with a fedora. And to cap off her night-out ensemble, Duff is seen in the picture with Nico wearing a black silk camisole.

By Tuesday, the photo of Hilary Duff and Nico Tortorella was taken down. However, many sources saved the picture, which is now appearing all over the internet and in tabloids.
Nico and Hilary have been hard at work filming in New York for their upcoming flick. Tortorella is known for his role in The Following, and has appeared in Scream 4 and Make It Or Break It.
It’s unknown what the photo signified, and there is no word on the state of Duff’s marriage with Comrie. However, during an interview in Los Angeles recently at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Hilary shared some insight.
“We don’t know what our future looks like right now but we’re both doing really good and just figuring out what makes us happy. We’re constantly seen together and people are like, ‘What are they doing? Are they back together? Are they not?’ We’re really good friends and we have so much respect for each other and obviously Luca is our number one priority.”
