Shannon De Lima: Marc Anthony’s New Wife Has The Blessing Of Jennifer Lopez

Shannon de Lima won’t have to worry about awkwardness around new hubby Marc Anthony’s former wife.

Anthony and the Venezuelan model were married this week in a surprise ceremony, and soon afterward got a stamp of approval from his ex, Jennifer Lopez.

Shannon and Marc exchanged their vows in a small ceremony in the Dominican Republic, according to a report from ABC News. The nuptials took place at the Casa de Campo resort, where the couple reportedly had teams of security on hand to make sure that the ceremony itself remained private.

Marc Anthony and Shannon de Lima got engaged back in March, but tried to keep their relationship as quiet as possible. The singer and his 26-year-old fiance avoided the spotlight, though last month Anthony blew their cover when he released a music video for “Flor Pálida” that had some racy scenes with his now-bride.

While Marc Anthony and Shannon De Lima are starting their new life as man and wife, Anthony’s ex Jennifer Lopez is just fine with being single. The actress and singer said her fast-paced lifestyle, and the horde of people who come with it, make it hard to maintain a relationship.

“There’s a lot of people in my life and that’s hard,” Lopez said, via Page Six. “There’s people in the house. There’s hair and makeup. It’s a lot, I think, for someone to deal with.”

She added, “Forget about all the outside stuff, being judged, being under scrutiny in the relationship.?.?. I guess that adds in.?.?. but I think they would say that [the entourage] was a big part of their discomfort, if there was any.”‘

Lopez went on to say that her marriage to Marc Anthony was never very good, and that he actually got engaged to de Lima before the divorce papers were even finalized.

But Jennifer Lopez had only good things to say for Marc Anthony and Shannon de Lima now, declaring, “I’m happy for them.”
