Valerie Bertinelli Cold Shoulder Feud: Is Xtina’s ‘Response’ This Instagram Pic?

Here’s a steaming question: Did Valerie Bertinelli really get the cold-shoulder from Christina Aguilera? It’s unknown because one person denies a “feud,” while the other allegedly responded to the rumors by way of Instagram. But the larger question may very well be this: Why are two grown women, who happen to be celebrities, in the midst of cat-fight?

Days ago, Bertinelli sat down and chatted with Andy Cohen on a segment of Watch What Happens Live! There, Valerie talked about a litany of things in her career and personal life. However, Cohen pressed her on a rumor about a claim she and Aguilera were still feuding from an eventful meet and greet that took place some six years ago.

Valerie Bertinelli claimed years ago that Christina Aguilera gave her a rather cold shoulder. However, she admitted that there is no ongoing fight that some media sources are reporting.

“Valerie, it’s said that you had a feud with Christina Aguilera. What was that about?”

Bertinelli, who is the ex-Mrs. Eddie Van Halen, denies the cat-fight allegations. However, the story does have multiple layers, as she explains.

“No, I didn’t have a feud with her. I was a fan at that time — a long time ago — and I went up to her ’cause she was at a Van Halen concert, and I said, ‘Oh my god, I think you’re a beautiful singer.’ And she just went like, ‘Yeah, whatever.’

“She gave me the cold shoulder and I thought, ‘Bitch, I’m a fan! You can’t be nice to me?’ You know?”

Cohen then asked the One Day at a Time star about her relationship today with Xtina. Bertinelli denied seeing the songstress, but also appeared to suggest her cold shoulder nemesis has not changed in her ways.

“I have not. She might have gotten better—but I heard she hasn’t.”

Valerie Bertinelli did a radio years ago when the scandal first broke. Then, she was a bit more explicit about her meeting with Christina Aguilera.

“I met her, and she was so mean to me. And I thought, ‘You know what? Forget you! I don’t need your new album!’ What’s up with that? She’s too young to be blowing people off.”

Well, there are two sides to every story, right? Word is Aguilera has broken her silence on the matter about giving Bertinelli the cold shoulder in 2008. Although Christina has not responded directly to the claim, some believe it’s the caption below her posted pic on Instagram that speaks volumes. The image showed the Voice coach — who is gearing up for a return to the show — working on new music in the studio. And below was a telling caption that just about summed up her response to giving Val the cold shoulder treatment.
