Glow Stick In Microwave Video Shows Bad Idea Exploding In A Kid’s Face [Video]

Who would place a glow stick in a microwave for a video? Most people would probably think that is a bad idea from the start, but one kid named Jack apparently thought it was worth a shot, until it blew up in his face. Literally.

With the glow stick in the microwave, our brave Jack decides to set the timer to 30 seconds, based upon the idea that glow sticks would become brighter after being microwaved (hint: they do not). Jack removed the glow stick a little early, and before you know it was glowing a bright green. Good idea, right? Wrong!

The glowing green goop tried to turn Jack into a Ninja Turtle, spewing its nastiness all over Jack’s face and shirt. The boy screamed and his father rushed to help him.

“I gotta see what to do ding-a-ling! God I told you not to mess with it,” his father said. “Choking hazard… I don’t know what to do if it’s in your eyes!”

The father spends most of the four-minute video trying to figure out how to help poor Jack out of his predicament.

“It’s all over your awesome shirt!” he snapped. “I said don’t microwave it! Don’t screw around! What you do? With a beautiful shirt on!”

The hard part was that they knew what to do about choking, or accidentally eating a glow stick, but the directions are not so helpful when it comes to a glow stick exploding in your face. Eventually, they ended up flushing out Jack’s eyes with water and the video poster acknowledges that Jack was all right in the end. Unfortunately, the same could not be said about his shirt.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, you would think by now that people understand that microwaving a pet animal of any type is a bad, bad idea. One man ended up in jail for microwaving a pet rabbit, but when teens tossed a kitten into a microwave on video they were only sentenced to community service for their animal cruelty.
