WWE: Hulk Hogan Training For WrestleMania 31 Match, Wants John Cena

WWE legend Hulk Hogan recently spoke with Chuck Carroll on Turnbuckle Weekly and expressed his desire to have one more match at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

When it comes to Hogan having one final match there’s only two names that come to mind. One is “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and the other is the current face of WWE John Cena.

Steve Austin is uncertain if he’ll ever have another match again, but he is certain that if he does that it won’t be against Hulk Hogan because, in his opinion, the match wouldn’t be all that good.

John Cena on the other hand has expressed his desire to get in the ring with Hogan if the “Hulkster” is physically able to do it, saying that “If [Hogan] has one more in him I’m ready, willing and able.”

In Hogan’s conversation with Turnbuckle Weekly’s Chuck Carroll, Hogan touched on his physical problems, which most people believe will hold him out of one more match, as Hogan likely wouldn’t be able to pass the physical that he would need to pass to be able to get in the ring one more time. However Hogan insists that he’s fine.

My back is cool. I never dreamed that if we were to digress in line backwards almost three-and-a-half years ago when I was sitting in a wheel chair after back surgery number 6, the doctor’s told me and my new wife that I’d never walk again. Then three more back surgeries after back surgery number 9, I was up on my feet moving around doing the whole TNA deal.

“Now if we fast forward a couple more years my back doesn’t hurt at all. I mean, I don’t think I can handle the Rusev camel clutch if that’s what you call it because I can’t really bend backwards in that direction.

“But there’s no pain in my back. So I’ve been training like crazy, and trying to stop eating so much because I love eating food and I got back up over 300 pounds. I went back up to about 305 and I’m down to about 295 now.

“At the end of the day it’s me getting Vince’s [McMahon] ear and getting in Triple H’s ear and talking them into letting me rock the house one more time.

“Cena would be the guy I’d love to get in the ring with. If I could get Stone Cold Steve Austin to come out of retirement I’d love to have him open a can of whoop a** on me and see what happens.

“But I’d love to get in there because I miss it and I love it so much, and I’d love to get in there and just really tear it down at a WrestleMania one last time.”

Hulk Hogan’s last match in WWE was a little over eight years ago when he took on Randy Orton at SummerSlam on August 20, 2006. Hogan’s actual last match was in TNA three years ago when he took on Sting at Bound For Glory on October 16, 2011.

Hogan, who’s 61 years old, would have to pass extensive physical tests if he were to get back into a WWE ring. Also WWE chairman Vince McMahon has been notoriously against putting aging WWE superstars on television, as he thinks it makes WWE look bad. However Hogan is, and always has been, a big money-maker for WWE. So if he can pass the physical, then everyone should expect to see Hulk Hogan wrestle one more time at WrestleMania 31.
