“Blank Space” by Taylor Swift would make a good trailer for a horror movie. That’s the claim being made today after someone noticed that the imagery in Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” would be right at home in a scary flick. Now, fans are getting busy making fake movie trailers featuring images from the video.

According to a report by Slate, “the many cinematic tropes deployed by video director Joseph Kahn” are exactly what makes the video for “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift so easy to imagine as a horror movie trailer.

If the scariest thing you thought Taylor Swift ever did in her life was wearing a nightmarish hybrid unicorn-Pegasus costume for Halloween, then you probably haven’t been paying attention. By rearranging scenes from the video for “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift and adding some dramatic music, fans have re-imagined her innocent video as both a horror movie and a thriller.

As Entertainment Weekly pointed out, Taylor Swift was aware that her over-the-top acting would come across as “hilarious.” For comparison, Taylor Swift’s original video for “Blank Space” is available at the top of the page. Several alternate videos depicting the footage as a horror flick or a heart-stopping thriller follow below.

The following alternate video was created by YouTube user and Taylor Swift fan named Emily Fisher. She explained the process behind the clip.

“When the music video for ‘Blank Space’ came out I could not help myself, I just had to edit it into a horror/thriller looking movie trailer of sorts. I used the beginning/ending monologue from the ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ music video with the instrumentals as well. Enjoy! This is purely fanmade and all copyrights belong to the original owners.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry haven’t exactly been playing nicely in the sandbox lately. The country crooner and the pop star seem to be at odds, and a couple of other famous faces are getting involved in the so-called feud. Diplo, who is rumored to be Perry’s recent love interest, tweeted a message aimed at Swift’s slender frame. He joked that the tall, thin singer needs a “booty.” That’s when Lorde jumped into the fray.

“Should we do something about your tiny penis while we’re at it hm,” Lorde asked Diplo after he suggested an online fundraising campaign to fund a new posterior for Swift.

As for the main ladies involved in the alleged feud, both Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have kept quiet on Swift’s need for a booty or Diplo’s need for a bigger penis.
