Colorado College Student Rampaging In Ambulance While High On Molly Arrested, Masturbates In Jail

It is insane some of the crimes people commit! Such unorthodox transgressions makes people shake their head in disappointment for humanity. The Inquisitr reported on such odd crimes, such as a Walmart employee charged for committing theft. However, the employee wasn’t trying to steal money but Oreos! That’s right! He wanted to get rich off of the World’s Most Popular Cookie! The employee must love Oreos to stoop down to stealing them! And just so you know, that is just one of hundreds of odd crimes committed every single year!

On an integral point, some of these odd crimes usually includes some form of illegal drug. That detail is particularly important because news reports state that a Colorado college student rampaged through his town in a stolen ambulance. What should be noted is he was high on a combination of cocaine and Molly, which resulted in some very peculiar behavior.

Stefan Sortland
Stefan Sortland, an 18-year-old Colorado University student, has been given multiple charges centered on the theft of an ambulance while high on drugs.

The video above gives one interpretation of the crime, but what is reported via sources is a bit different. According to an article by CBS News, Stefan Sortland, an 18-year-old Colorado State University student, is accused of stealing an ambulance from the Poudre Valley Hospital after it arrived on campus for an emergency. Paramedics went inside a building for about 25 minutes but found to their surprise the ambulance was gone when they came back out. Police state that Sortland drove the ambulance to Loveland, which is about 12 miles away. Officers tracked him because the ambulance had a GPS device.

Upon catching up with Stefan Sortland, police found he was still in the driver’s seat despite the ambulance being damaged. From what reports state, the vehicle had heavy damage to its front end and fluid leaking from a crash. The student reportedly drove over a curb, across a median, through a sign, and back across the median before halting. Because the police did not know Stefan’s mental condition, they deployed a taser more so for their safety.

Those are the basic details of the report, mostly made kosher to be aired on television perhaps. However, the Examiner was able to provide certain details that shine a light on why this even happened. Stefan Sortland was high on a combination of cocaine and Molly, which was a factor in his erratic behavior. When the police discovered him in the ambulance, he was wearing an EMT jacket while holding a box of Wheat Thins, a cell phone, and a blanket. The reason why the police tasered him is because he would not cooperate in surrendering.

Eventually, Stefan Sortland ended his trippy trip in jail on a very odd note. Loveland Police Department wrote in a police report about Stefan’s holding.

“[Stefan Sortland] stood on a bench, kicked the wall, and masturbated.”

Stefan Sortland is charged with aggravated vehicle theft, obstructing EMS, reckless driving, hit-and-run, criminal mischief, attempted motor vehicle theft, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. That is quite a list, but Stefan much have thought it wasn’t enough because he punched an officer delivering his meal. As a result, the assault was added to his list of charges. His bond is set at $15,000, and he attended court on November 7th.
