Former Time Warner & CNET Exec Joins Balihoo



An executive who’s helped lead Time Warner and CNET has now joined multimedia advertising search site Balihoo.

Jack Haire — the one-time executive vice-president of Time, Inc — has signed onto Balihoo’s Board of Directors effective today. Haire was with Time Warner for more than a quarter century, logging roles ranging from Time Magazine publisher to Fortune/Money Group president prior to his most recent VP position. He has since served as a special advisor to the CEO of CNET and has held similar roles with both Hallmark and Quigo Technologies.

Balihoo acts as a centralized search engine for advertisers. It lets companies find advertising opportunities in various types of media, including the Internet and more traditional print forms. A former HP executive formed the company last January. It raised $4 million in additional funding at the beginning of this year as it went out of beta and into full operation.
