Dead Island’s ‘Bloodbath Arena’ DLC due out next week

As you may recall, Dead Island was due to receive the ‘Bloodbath Arena’ DLC back in September, but that didn’t quite work out according to developer Techland’s original plans. Due to concerns about polish and bugs, the developers had to hold the DLC back.

Techland managed to sort out all of those bugs and get it polished up for release, and it’s now due out on November 22 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for $9.99, or 800 Microsoft Points. If you pre-ordered your copy, you’ll be getting the DLC free of charge.

The Bloodbath Arena DLC adds in four new arenas and quite a few new challenges to go along with them, all of which can be played either singleplayer or co-op. Each arena has the player (or players) taking on waves of increasingly difficult undead, with a bunch of loot and experience up for grabs that can be transferred to your main campaign.

The DLC will also add in a new weapon, the Brain Wave Bomb, but it isn’t known just what it does. Probably something to do with brains, I take it? Either way, you can find out for yourself when the Bloodbath Arena DLC for Dead Island release next week.
