Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin has announced the band will perform on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ on Wednesday, December 7th.
Martin revealed the news on ‘The Howard Stern Show’ this week – over the weekend, the British mopesters had already performed on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ contributing to a sketch in which they cried to Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’.
That cameo followed a performance of Paradise, the first single from the band’s new album, ‘Mylo Xyloto.’
In other news, Coldplay’s relentless plugging of ‘Mylo Xyloto’ has paid handsome dividends – their SNL sketch debut followed news of the album charting at No. 1 in 32 countries to date.
The album also reached No. 1 in all 35 iTunes stores around the world, shattering the record for the highest number of download sales in a single week.
