Zoe Saldana Calls Off Engagement To Keith Britton

After 11 years of dating and an engagement Zoe Saldana has called off her relationship with fiancé Keith Britton. According to insiders the Avatar actress and her fiance have “amicably separated.”

Confirming the news a rep for the couple said:

“…Respect of their privacy is appreciated during this time,” a rep for the pair said in statement Sunday.

After her breakup Saldana tweeted on Friday:

“‘You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.’ – Buddha.”

The couple announced their engagement in June 2010.

It’s not clear what has led to their breakup however Star Magazine said in May that Zoe was suffering from depression and was fighting off financial troubles caused by overspending despite making a decent living as an actress.

According to one insider even her upcoming wedding wasn’t helping her mood:

“Her moods are all over the place and Keith is seriously concerned, but he feels helpless….Everyone is hoping she doesn’t spiral any further out of control.”

While the couple will no longer be dating they will likely see a fair amount of each other as they are currently business partners for the website My Fashion Data Base (MyFDB.com) and they hope to maintain that relationship with the following statement:

“Saldana and Britton remain committed business partners as co-founders of fashion resource MyFDB.com…”
