Avril Lavigne, Chad Kroeger Haven’t Split Yet, But Things Still ‘Aren’t Good’

Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger have been holding onto their marriage for quite some time, despite the numerous divorce rumors that have been floating around since late summer. But does that mean the two have found their peaceful place?

According to a source for E! News, things aren’t looking too good for the musical duo, though no decisions have yet to be made on whether or not the couple has decided to call it quits for good.

“Things still aren’t good,” a source tells E! News of the couple. “But Avril’s friends are encouraging her to try and work it out. They don’t like Chad, but she’s already been through one painful divorce and they don’t want to see her going through another unless there’s no other option. Also, she and Chad haven’t been married that long so her friends want her to make sure she’s given it every chance before pulling the plug.”

Things haven’t been going very well for Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger for a while, and the rumors had gotten to the point that sources were claiming that the Chad was going around saying they were over. According to a previous report by the Inquisitr, Avril was spotted celebrating her 30th birthday without Chad and without her wedding ring.

Avril isn’t the only one walking around without her wedding ring on. According to a recent report by the Daily Mail, Kroeger was spotted Sunday without his wedding ring.

There were high hopes for the couple when they first got together, and after working so well on their duet, “Let Me Go,” the two moved from working together to dating, and then into marriage. They seemed so happy at the time, but a source close to the couple said that once they weren’t in work mode, they realized they didn’t see eye-to-eye on a lot of things.

“The main issue is this: When they met, they were in work mode. They were doing a collaboration and that’s where the attraction stemmed from. She was in the studio and he was producing her. She was also coming off some bad relationships where she didn’t really feel appreciated as an artist. She felt she and Chad connected on that level. [And now that] the album didn’t do as well as they had hoped…they’re finding that they’re not seeing eye to eye on a lot of things.”

Neither Avril Lavigne nor Chad Kroeger have made any official statements regarding their relationship status, so until one of them comes forward to announce the split, everything else is simply tinder fueling the rumor wildfire.
