Angie Harmon, Jason Sehorn Divorce: Couple Splits After 13 Years Together
In the midst of the news breaking regarding the possibility of a Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn divorce, the former football player was seen out on the field to honor a fellow player. Angie and Jason just announced their separation after 13 years together, but they haven’t divulged specifics.
People shares that Sehorn joined about 100 other former New York Giants teammates Monday night at the Metlife Stadium to honor Michael Strahan as he was given his Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence. Sehorn gave a small wave when his name was read, but otherwise didn’t display much emotion until he gave Strahan an enthusiastic congratulations as he left the field.
These days Sehorn lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, and he’s an analyst for ESPNU. Harmon works in Los Angeles, and it seems the couple’s three daughters are now out there will her primarily as well, though they had been living in Charlotte too until relatively recently.
Angie and Jason have daughters Finley, 11, Avery, 9, and Emery, 5, together. Though Harmon used to say that she wanted to keep her daughters in Charlotte away from the lifestyle of Hollywood, it seems that the family plans and dynamics have led to a change of plans.
Angie and Jason have had a long-distance relationship for quite some time, as Harmon films Rizolli & Isles in California. Though fans may have been surprised by the news of the split, there had been signs over the summer that something might be up. Harmon filed for an order of protection that covered herself, the girls, a nanny and a family friend, but didn’t mention Sehorn, which raised some eyebrows.
According to Us Weekly, those close to the couple weren’t terribly surprised by the split. In addition, the Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn divorce, should it progress to that stage, is said to have nothing to do with any betrayal or cheating. Rather, it would appear, it’s a fairly simple matter of a couple growing apart due to the geographical challenges they faced.
Harmon’s rep confirmed that the couple was “amicably” separating and they are asking for privacy for the sake of their children. From the sounds of things, this isn’t a split that will become contentious or scandalous, though it also doesn’t sound likely that there could be a reconciliation. At this point it’s not clear exactly when the couple truly separated, but it does seem that this has been developing for some time.
At this point the couple hasn’t commented on the split directly. However, seeing the NFL star out Monday and the actress posting supportive and inspirational tweets via social media just ahead of the split announcement may well indicate they are both holding up well.
