Kim Kardashian was mocked online this week for apparently misunderstanding the mid-term elections and the people who were running.
“I’m standing w Obama in the midterm election 2morrow! Find out what u need to cast ur ballot.”
— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) November 4, 2014
Keep in mind that President Barack Obama was not up for re-election during the mid-term elections that took place on Tuesday. It did not take long for Kim Kardashian’s tweet to be mocked and criticized on a wide variety of websites, blogs, social media profiles and other types of media. According to many of the tweets that have been posted since the wife of Kanye West initially made this huge mistake, she has been labeled with such names as a “moron,” “airhead” and an “idiot.”

Daily Mail reports that other people felt that Kim Kardashian was simply announcing her support of President Obama by supporting the Democratic Party. As of right now, Kim Kardashian still has not made any public comment about what she meant by that tweet.
On Tuesday, the 34-year-old reality TV star just continued to encourage her followers to vote. She also posted an updated version of the same animated image on her Instagram and Twitter pages to let her followers know that she had officially voted.
Back in 2013, Digital Spy reported that President Obama classified Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West as “bad influences.”
“I think there has also been a shift in culture… There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Kids weren’t monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing or where Kanye West was going on vacation and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success.”
President Obama also spoke about Kanye West’s behavior by calling him a “jackass” after he infamously interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech in 2009 at the MTV Video Music Awards.
What do you think about what Kim Kardashian posted on Twitter?
Did she think that she was actually going to be voting for President Obama at the mid-term elections?
