‘Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX’ Collector’s Edition Details Announced
Square Enix has released the details on the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Collector’s Edition today. The box, which is exclusive to the Square Enix online store, comes with some goodies for fans of the series who may not have picked up the 1.5 ReMix.
The Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Collector’s Edition which is now available for pre-order here, comes with the following contents.
- Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX game discs
- Collector’s Steelbook Case
The steelbook case contains both KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 ReMIX and KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.5 ReMIX discs and features premium artwork from the series Director, Tetsuya Nomura. - Collector’s Edition Box
- Shadow Heartless Plush Toy
9.4 inch tall plush of the classic KINGDOM HEARTS foe. - Exclusive Disney collectible pin
Features Sora and Mickey Mouse back to back, with the iconic keyblade with Mickey dangler. Made out of a soft enamel coating on metal, this pin’s height stretches out to 1.68 inches. - 30-Page Art Book and Dust Jacket
This art book includes an exclusive foreword and a sketch from Nomura, along with art from the series.
The collection includes a total of four games and two cinematic collections that span all but 2 of the currently released Kingdom Hearts games. The games are based around the Final Mix versions of the games which were never released outside of Japan. Kingdom Hearts FINAL MIX, Kingdom Hearts II FINAL MIX, and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep FINAL MIX will be playable for the first time in North America and is intended to build the anticipation for Kingdom Hearts III, which is due out for next-gen consoles sometime in 2015.
As an added bonus, the inclusion of the original 1.5 ReMIX collection is perfect for games who may have not picked up the remastered collection’s first half. With only Kingdom Hearts:Dream, Drop, Distance for the Nintendo 3DS the only Kingdom Hearts game not in the collection, gamers will now be able to to play through the action RPG that mashes the spiky hair of Square Enix with the wonderful world of Disney.
This collection should not be confused with the Limited Edition which is available only at physical retail shops as The Inquisitr has reported on previously. The Limited Edition is a free upgrade to those who have preordered the game and comes with an official Disney Trading Pin collectible.
The Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX will be available on December 2, 2014 for the PlayStation 3 for $39.99. Gamers who want the collector’s edition described above will have to put up $99.99 and order it from the official site.
