Romeo Beckham Dances His Way To Become A Most Charming Burberry Model

Romeo Beckham may have already won the accolade Most Dashing for the 2014 holiday season by dancing and acting in Burberry’s “From London with Love” skit. The 12-year-old son of soccer star David Beckham and fashion designer and former Posh Spice, Victoria, has inspired waves of admiration on Twitter for his latest role for the British clothing company.

US Weekly compares Romeo to Fred Astaire in the video. He wears traditional Burberry garb including a suit, trench coat, and a scarf with the labels signature plaid while he delivers gifts around a London backdrop. The company, founded in 1856, focuses on outerwear, but sells clothes and accessories for men, women, and children.

Even the Chief Creative Officer of the company, Christopher Bailey, had kind things to say about the young Beckham.

“It continues to be an utter joy working with Romeo. He has charm, style, and great energy! I’m delighted that he’s the lead role in our festive campaign.”

Romeo attended the premiere of the ad campaign at its London Regent Street store with his family. The Daily Mail reported that he watched the clip in his mother’s arms, as if fans needed any more excuses to be in awe of the young actor. After receiving a pep talk from Bailey himself, Romeo mingled with the 500 guests with confidence.

However, other responses to Romeo’s acting debut prove more troubling. Some fans have over-sexualized Romeo, leading to heated responses on social media. Earlier this year, brother Brooklyn Beckham also faced similar comments from fans, as reported by the Inquisitr. Brooklyn made his own modeling debut for Man About Town magazine with his father.
