‘DWTS’: Sadie Robertson And Mark Ballas Talk Risky Adam And Eve Routine

Sadie Robertson didn’t know just how dangerous one of her dance moves was during her Adam and Eve routine.

Sadie’s most recent Dancing with the Stars performance included a few lifts, including a very risky one that required pro partner Mark Ballas to spin Robertson around with her legs wrapped around his shoulders. During an interview with Access Hollywood, Ballas revealed that the Duck Dynasty star would have flown through the air if his hand had slipped.

“That last lift, the thing that was holding her on was her ankles were wrapped around the neck, and my hand was on the small of her back. That was it.”

After listening to her partner talk about the difficult dance move, Sadie Robertson revealed that she didn’t realize just how dangerous it was. However, she agreed with Mark Ballas that their Adam and Eve performance was their most daring routine yet.

At first Sadie wasn’t completely comfortable with where Mark had to place his hand during the lift (on her butt), but she stated that her safety is more important than a little discomfort.

“If you’re not a dancer, you’re just not used to stuff like that. You don’t realize that he has to or I will break my neck.”

Mark Ballas should definitely be worried about touching Sadie Robertson somewhere inappropriate or dropping her on her head after what her grandfather recently said. Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson threatened to break the legs of Sadie’s boyfriend if he hurts his granddaughter. Luckily, Mark managed to keep Sadie safe.

The lift wasn’t the only risky move that Robertson and Ballas made on Monday night. According to Gossip Cop, Sadie felt extra pressure to make her dance perfect because she was performing a routine based on a story in the Bible. And according to SheKnows, some Dancing with the Stars fans had concerns about Sadie’s decision to do the Adam and Eve story before they saw her performance. They feared that the Duck Dynasty star’s outfit would be too skimpy because she was portraying a character who doesn’t wear clothes. However, Sadie Robertson kept herself covered up with plenty of strategically-placed vines and leaves.

All of Robertson and Ballas’ risky moves paid off. They were awarded with a score of 38 out of 40, helping them tie for second place. Alfonso Ribeiro also scored 38 points, but no one could top Janel Parrish’s perfect 40. Michael Waltrip was eliminated after weeks of finishing in the bottom.
