Caroline Manzo Responds To Dina’s ‘RHONJ’ Reunion Claims: She ‘Has To Grow Up’
Caroline Manzo appeared on Sunday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, where she reacted to Dina Manzo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion comments.
As the Inquisitr reported earlier, Dina claimed many of her reunion comments were edited and took to her video blog, where she shared her side of the story and said she was “good” with her family. Meanwhile, Caroline was chatting, alongside Michelle Williams, about their family drama.
“It’s true I didn’t invite her to the engagement party, and for good reason,” Caroline Manzo told Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen, according to a November 3 report by E! News. “First of all, I’m embarrassed. I’m mortified. I hate the fact that I have to say this because you know and I both know that I have come at you hard whenever we tried to discuss this, but I feel I have to defend myself.”
“Over the past four years—five years—Dina has never attended any family function at all,” Caroline explained. “We’ve got nieces and nephews that are 3, 4, 5 years old, 9 months old, whom she doesn’t even know. She didn’t go to my brother Jamie’s wedding. Babies were born, baptisms, graduations, birthdays—not just me. Not just Chris. My nieces, my nephews, along the line. To single that out is insane. When Lauren got engaged, the very first person she called, 10 minutes after the ring was on her finger was [Dina’s daughter] Lexi. And she said, ‘Lex, I’m engaged.’ And Lexi said, ‘I’m so happy. My mom says congratulations.’ That was in November. The party was in April. From November through April, not a word.”
“I’m a package deal,” Caroline added. “I come with everybody. You may have issues with somebody, but you don’t dismiss someone in your family. You don’t make somebody say, ‘I’m giving you a choice, I’m giving you an option. The only way you and I can have a relationship is if you cut someone of of your life.’ That’s my brother’s wife, and Chris was given the same ultimatum.”
In the end, Caroline Manzo told Andy things between she and her family were much bigger than what fans have seen on the show. She also expressed her interest in seeing Dina mature.
“I don’t care about TV. I don’t care what the papers say,” she said. “I want my family back, and I have done everything in my power to make that happen, so have the rest of us. Dina has to grow up.”
According to a second Inquisitr report, Laurita got in on the action, as well, telling fans on Twitter, “Maybe Dina wasn’t invited 2 Lauren’s engagement party because she told us we were dead to her & that she was dead to us. She got what she wanted.”
Laurita also applauded Caroline for speaking her peace. “Wow! [Caroline Manzo] I know how hard that was for you to speak up. I Love you! XOXO! Hope it can be put to rest now. Too much hurt for too long.”
