Hayden Panettiere Opens Up About Weight Gain During Pregnancy

Hayden Panettiere is expecting her first child, and like any first time expectant mothers, Panettiere, is very excited to spill all of the details on her first pregnancy. As expected, the Nashville star can’t wait to hold her daughter. Overall it seems like motherhood already fits the 25-year-old actress.

That’s not the only thing Hayden is revealing. In an interview with Hello! magazine, the actress, who is expecting with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko, opened up about how much weight she’s gained throughout her pregnancy.

In Hollywood women talking about their weight gain is a taboo topic because unfortunately, actresses and musicians are expected to stay very trim for their image. For Panettiere, none of that mattered and she seemed happy to discuss her healthy weight gain.

“I’m 5 feet, 2 inches and I started out at 106 pounds and guess how much I weight now? Around 145 pounds. And the worst part is that my feet are still size five and they’re going, ‘What’s going on with all this weight?’ They’re about to snap from underneath me with the strain.”

The actress has been keeping a low profile, but she has gotten into the Halloween spirit. She showed off her growing belly, which she incorporated into her costume.

Although Hayden has gained weight throughout her pregnancy, as she should, she’s also kept very healthy as well. “I’m still quite muscular, so if you’re running around carrying 40 pounds of extra weight, you’re going to build extra muscle.”

As for when she’s getting married? Fans of the star shouldn’t expect a ceremony to happen anytime soon.

“I’ll tell you one thing for sure, I am not walking down the aisle 40 pounds heavier than usual in a wedding dress with a huge pregnancy belly stitched in. Not happening.”

In the end, the Heroes star just wants to meet her baby girl.

“I’m so ready to hold my baby girl—I’m going to be a very hands on mom. I’m thrilled that I am having a girl first because I feel like I know a lot about raising a strong woman. I feel very empowered myself and I think my daughter will, too.”
