WWE: Daniel Bryan Has ‘Yes!’ Chant Stolen By Vince McMahon, WrestleMania 31 Confirmed? [Video]

By now we should be used to Daniel Bryan getting the short end of the stick, but the WWE management struck a low blow the other day when a “get well message” recorded by Yes Movement fans was instead used to support an announcement by Vince McMahon on Smackdown instead of going to the bearded one.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, Daniel Bryan’s injuries include issues with both his neck and his arm. The former injury is what has been keeping him from the ring for the longest time, but the WWE confirmed that Bryan will need surgery for his arm. Although “Stone Cold” Steve Austin questioned whether Bryan could ever wrestle at his peak again, Kane believes it’s just a matter of time before he’s back to his old self.

“He’s a very resilient guy and he’s going to be back. Unfortunately, it’s just one of those things. That’s what happens with injuries of this type. When you’re dealing with nerves and things like that, even the best doctors in the world aren’t always sure what’s going to happen. He’s really tough and the guy has fighting spirit. He’s going to be back at some point and hopefully sooner rather than later.”

During a recent WWE Smackdown taping, Big Show also motivated the crowd to record a get well message by doing the “yes” chant after it was announced that another surgery was required. According to Wrestling Inc., this “yes” chant was then used to promote Vince McMahon making the WWE Network free for November.

” WWE then aired the message from Vince McMahon that we posted the other day, with Vince hyping how the WWE Network is free in November. WWE made Vince’s video appear as if it was on the Titantron in the arena and when Vince ended his message with a ‘yes!’ chant, the broadcast cut to the crowd doing the ‘yes!’ chants that Big Show got started for the Bryan ‘get well’ message.”

But it’s not like the WWE management is downplaying the role of Daniel Bryan. New WrestleMania 31 promotional material was sent out recently and now it features Bryan in addition to John, Cena, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, and Mark Henry. Bryan used to be not on the promotional materials at all, which is probably a good indication that they feel his injuries will heal up in time for WrestleMania. Notably, the new posters dropped Randy Orton, Big E and Bad News Barrett.

Bryan also had an interview with Sports Illustrated Now earlier today and he talked about the origins of the “yes” chant and how UFC fighter Diego Sanchez came up with the idea. But Daniel Bryan’s injury came up in the course of the discussion. The recovery has been extremely slow and he has been left with so much free time that he’s not sure what to do with himself. Overall, the wrestler feels good but he still has a lot of weakness in his right hand, which can be extremely dangerous for an opponent if he messes up a big move. The hard part for doctors is to figure out how to restore his strength, although at least he’s not in pain.

Daniel Bryan’s WrestleMania 31 appearance also came up and he said he would be heartbroken if he cannot compete. Bryan says management is planning for him to be ready for WrestleMania 31, but he hopes he will not be disappointed if he cannot perform to his fullest capabilities.
