WWE: Randy Orton’s Injury From ‘Monday Night RAW’ Will Make Him Miss WWE Survivor Series 2014?

Randy Orton’s injury is quite real, but it’s possible WWE Monday Night RAW may create an injury story angle this week in order to give an excuse for the Viper to slither away from the WWE Survivor Series PPV.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, it is said that the WWE management plans to turn Randy Orton babyface. Although he’s not exactly a big fan of the idea, it’s said Orton will allow himself to be changed for the good of the company. [Update: Randy Orton’s face turn apparently did happen as predicted.]

A couple weeks back, Monday Night RAW showed Dean Ambrose jumping off the announcer table onto everyone, or it’s believed this action may have caused, or at least aggravated, Randy Orton’s injury. The Viper pushed through the match, but it seemed obvious that something was not quite right with his usual performance. The idea that Orton was really injured was given credibility when the WWE superstar supposedly told a doctor that his “ruptured disc” in his back was messed up.

Now Randy Orton is scheduled to miss Monday Night RAW and WWE SmackDown tapings for at least several weeks while he begins filming The Condemned 2 on November 11, 2014. It’s being rumored that WWE creative will write in a story-based injury that will happen on Monday Night RAW. If this idea does occur, it’s most likely going to happen tonight since the new RAW taping will be done in England, and Orton was already not part of that international tour.

According to Wrestling Inc., there’s a good chance that Randy Orton will miss WWE Survivor Series, as well.

“It’s still very possible that Orton misses Survivor Series, despite being expected for the Team Cena vs. Team Authority match. Orton was pulled from local advertising for the pay-per-view, which takes place in his hometown of St. Louis. It was said that there’s a good chance Orton misses Survivor Series but because ‘The Condemned 2’ is a WWE movie, they can always give him a day off to work the pay-per-view.”

Like a RKO out of nowhere, Randy Orton’s WrestleMania 31 role is also being downplayed based upon the newest promotional material.

Daniel Bryan WrestleMania 31

As you can see, even though Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan are injured, they are still being shown in the post while Randy Orton is MIA. The older WM 31 materials used to show Orton in the lineup, but now he’s been replaced. But Big E and Bad News Barrett also used to be on the poster and they have similarly been replaced by other wrestlers.
