Harry Styles ‘X Factor’ Drama: One Direction Forced To Perform Twice
Harry Styles was at the center of a bit of drama this weekend. Styles and his group One Direction recorded a special performance for the live finale of X Factor UK, but the band had to perform their new hit song “Steal My Girl” twice for the audience. According to The Mirror, One Direction taped the performance before this week’s live show.
Why was the band forced to perform the same song twice? It was a wardrobe mix-up. Harry Styles was not wearing the same color shirt as the rest of his group mates. He was wearing a white shirt, and the rest of the group, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan, was dressed in black shirts.
One Direction started their career back in 2010. They won the X Factor UK competition that year. Simon Cowell brought the five male singers together, and it is safe to say they owe their musical careers to the reality television competition.
Harry Styles was seen backstage at the X Factor UK studio wearing the white shirt that caused the wardrobe drama. The X Factor UK Twitter shared a snap shot taken of Harry during the visit.

One Direction’s fame has put a spotlight on Harry Styles. One fan even went so far as to collect a jar of Styles’ vomit. The vomit was being sold on eBay to the highest bidder. Styles did learn about the surprising auction. The Inquisitr recently shared Styles’ comments about the vomit auction.
“It’s worrying, this is the world we live in.”
The auction listing was removed from the eBay site, but it is not known if the removal happened because someone won the auction or not. Styles’ group mate, Liam Payne, first noticed the listing on the site, and he alerted his friend of it.
Speculation had the vomit coming from Styles at the end of a drunken night, but the singer cleared up that rumor. He vomited by the side of the road after a very long hike.
What is next for One Direction? Their next single is “Night Changes.” The band shot the video for the single last week, according to Entertainmentwise.
This wardrobe mix-up for One Direction’s X Factor UK performance is relatively minor in the grand scheme of things. It is clear that the performance was re-recorded so that Harry Styles would not stand out among his group mates. The audience waiting for the live taping of this week’s X Factor UK episode received a special bonus with the One Direction performance.
