Ellen DeGeneres’ Amal Clooney Halloween costume had fans laughing during Friday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The talk show host and comedian is known for her fabulous Halloween costumes every year, as she always puts together quite the plan. Was her costume this year a hit?
As People shares, Ellen DeGeneres’ Amal Clooney costume incorporated Amal’s new husband George Clooney into the picture as well. Ellen walked out dressed as the famous bride on her wedding day. Because the wedding gown and black wig may not have told the full story all that well, DeGeneres engineered the costume to have a fake George attached to it too. A life-size dummy with George’s face plastered on it was along for the ride.
DeGeneres cracked some good jokes throughout her introduction during Friday’s Halloween show. She noted that Halloween is a great time to pretend to be someone you’re not. In her case, that meant being someone married to a man. Fans know the talk show host doesn’t go the dress route often, and she pointed out that she went all-out for her audience as she didn’t even wear a dress to her own wedding to wife Portia de Rossi.
Another great comment by Ellen noted that this may be her sexiest costume yet, “because what is sexier than a woman with a brain?” Fans of George and Amal know that in addition to becoming Mrs. Clooney, she is a highly-acclaimed international lawyer. She is no flaky piece of arm candy, that much is for certain.
Ellen had a few other tricks and jokes up her sleeve with this costume, and she even had a dance to share. DeGeneres has had a busy week on her show, as of course she sent her producer Andy Lassner back to a haunted house to capture it all on camera. This time around he brought his assistant Jacqueline, and hilarity ensued. Ellen also sent Scandal stars Katie Lowes and Guillermo Diaz through a haunted house this week as well.
While DeGeneres kept things fairly simple with her Halloween costume this year, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan’s Halloween show incorporated some 50 costume changes. Numerous other morning talk shows got in on the fun Friday as well. From the looks of the reaction online, fans loved Ellen DeGeneres’ Amal Clooney costume, which means she’d better start thinking about how to top it next year.
