Rapper Surgical Eye Change: Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris Gets Horrifying Illegal Procedure To Swap Eye Color [Video]

A rapper’s surgical eye change is making headlines after Tameka “Tiny” Harris went public with her new eye color and explained how she changed her brown eyes to ice gray. The controversial cosmetic procedure is illegal in the United States, so the rapper’s surgical eye change was performed in Northern Africa.

Harris was looking for something different when she visited Northern Africa to undergo the procedure, which involved cutting a slit into each of her eyes and stuffing medical grade silicone implants into each eye. The rapper explained the surgical eye change in detail when she spoke with Deborah Roberts of ABC News.

“They go into the eye and they make a little slit. They take an implant and it’s folded up. They open it [and] spread it over your eye. They told me that the procedure was going to be quick, five to 10 minutes an eye. They woke me up. It was very blurry, then it kind of fades in.”

The tiny rapper is happy with her surgical eye change, but the risky medical procedure isn’t without its dangers. As the president of New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, Dr. James C. Tsai cautioned about the potential risks of undergoing a change in eye color via surgery.

“These risks can be sight-threatening and can include glaucoma, cataract and corneal problems.”

Harris thanked the doctors at BrightOcular for her procedure. The company’s website contains the following information about the implants used to change the rapper’s eye color.

“An artificial iris is a thin, flexible, non-toxic prosthesis which is compatible with body tissue. Artificial iris is made of materials that are used in manufacturing intraocular lenses…. Since the implant is flexible it can be folded and inserted into the eye through a peripheral corneal surgical incision about 2.8 mm long. No corneal sutures are needed for this length of the incision.”

In an Instagram post that she later deleted, Harris wrote that the procedure was performed by Dr. Montasser Menif, reported Beauty World News.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Tameka Harris was arrested along with her rapper hubby T.I. in 2010, allegedly for possession of an illegal substance, which was reportedly a concoction referred to as “purple drank.” The beverage is also known as Sizzurp, and it typically contains codeine and is served in styrofoam cups, which were spotted at the scene of the arrest.
