Watch ‘Gone Girl’ Re-Enacted By Cats [Video]

There was a very special cat in Gone Girl that watched over all of the fights that Ben Affleck’s Nick Dunne and Rosamund Pike’s Amy Dunne endured. Now, an abbreviated portion of the film is getting a make over with cat lovers in mind.

Pet Collective has decided to celebrate National Cat Day by creating a re-enactment of David Fincher’s Gone Girl with cats replacing all of the actors. There’s cats in place of Affleck, Pike, and even Tyler Perry, who steals pretty much every scene he’s in throughout the film.

This whole thing is simply a brilliant idea. Can you imagine David Fincher trying to direct a bunch of purring cats? It would be madness. Although the cats are the highlight of this newly invented Gone Girl trailer, it must be noted that Barbies are used to replace some of the minor characters, such as the reporter that interviews Ben Affleck’s Nick Dunne, who we are affectionately calling Catfleck for the purposes of this video.

In case you haven’t seen Gone Girl, fear not because you won’t be totally lost. In addition to the lovely cat purrs there’s voice overs of dialogue from the film to guide the cat lover in all of us.

The best line is performed by Catfleck as the cat voice actor brilliantly delivers the line, “As you all know, my wife hiss-appeared 21 cat days ago.” Another highlight? “He’s cheating on me with a bottle cap and he won’t nuzzle me.”

When the cat detective asks Catfleck about the credit card charges, a huge development in the story in the actual film, the voice over actor hilariously replies, “I don’t have a general understanding of currency.”
